Video: Anatomy of a WordPress Theme

WordPress.tv recently launched and includes some excellent tutorials for making the most of your WordPress blog or site.

Here’s a video I found interesting. It’s nothing too in depth, but it gives you a solid overview of the different files that make up your WordPress theme.

How to Install WordPress in BlueHost CPanel with SimpleScripts

As of the date of this post, Fantastico no longer supports WordPress installs on the BlueHost CPanel. So, you’ll need to do all of your WordPress installs using SimpleScripts. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on installing WordPress blogging software on your own domain or sub-domain using BlueHost’s CPanel and SimpleScripts. It’s really easier than it sounds.

Step 1 – Login to cPanel

Step 5 – Select Where You Would Like WordPress Installed

On this page you’ll need to designate where you want WP installed. From the select box you should be able to see all your domains and sub-domains housed at Bluehost. Just select the one you’ve purchased to use with WordPress.

If you’re adding WordPress to your existing website under a sub-folder, use the box to the right of the select box to designate that you want WordPress located at “/blog”. Then, just hit the “complete” button to finish up.

Step 6 – Write Down or Print Out Your Login Info

That’s all it takes. Easy, right? If you have questions or additional tips, leave them in the comments below.
